We are a diverse group of highly skilled people, who have come together from all over the world to help make a positive change to our oceans. Through our sustainable products and services, we hope to inspire and enable others to live more eco-conscious lives.
We commit to sourcing progressive eco-fabrics that prioritize people and the planet. Throughout our clothing range we use recycled polyester produced from post consumer plastic waste like fishing nets, discarded plastic bottles, reducing the need for new resources and preventing plastic from entering our oceans and landfill.
Innovation & Sublimation
We are always on the lookout for better, more eco-progressive fabrics and trims. At present, we are currently investigating how we can use pineapple leaf fibres, specifically Piñatex®, as a sustainable alternative to leather.
commitment to creating a circular clothing economy
We have launched a Take it Back Programme where we incentivise approved OCEANR brand partners to return used garments to our factory for repair or recycling. Where repair is possible we will do so free of charge to promote long life clothing.
IRELAND From conversations with our founder, Tom Cotter, we like to think this journey to reclaim our oceans dates way back to his childhood, when his family would take an annual holiday to the Greek island of Lefkada. His experience there would inform his formative years –becoming an avid sportsman, a budding environmentalist and water sports obsessive.”
